At the table
Roll a stat-based d6 pool and keep the highest: 6 perfect, 4–5 messy, 1–3 grim. Difficulty adds d8 thorns; each 7–8 lowers the outcome, while a critical beats thorns. Goals, bonds and diminishing pools guide the story.
