What is it about?
Kenzer & Company’s HackMaster Basic introduces levels 1–5. The complete publisher PDF inspected has 241 pages and a 2012 reserved-rights notice; the old product blurb’s 231-page count does not describe this file exactly.

At the table
Create an adventurer with race, class, attributes, skills and talents. Combat counts seconds rather than fixed rounds; attacks and defences oppose each other using penetrating dice, with weapon speed and armour shaping the exchange.
