What is it about?
Old-School Essentials presents classic fantasy adventure through an organization designed to make the rules easy to consult. The directory distinguishes the game from its different publishing routes: older printings, 2026 material, and trademark compatibility do not necessarily share the same terms for reuse.

At the table
Adventurers explore dangerous places, seek treasure, and deal with encounters. Group decisions and quickly accessible rules help players manage their expedition through a fantasy environment.

Independent sales
Necrotic Gnome permits publication of original adventures and supplements through the OSE Third-Party License. The compatibility licence is free and royalty-free for both commercial and non-commercial products.
Conditions
Distinguish the compatibility logo from permission to copy rules: pre-2026 printings use OGL, and 2026 material has its own licence. The CC SRD planned for 2027 is not permission already available for all OSE.
