What is it about?
OSRIC began as a way to present and support adventures inspired by advanced first-edition fantasy. This entry preserves version 2 and its historical OGL context. OSRIC 3 reorganizes the game and uses different terms, so that later revision has its own separate directory entry.

At the table
The group explores dungeons and fantasy wilderness with characters from traditional classes. Expedition decisions, exploration, and encounters form the basis of an ongoing adventure campaign.

Independent sales
OSRIC 2 was published as a reference for third parties to create their own supplements. The historical document combines OGL and OSRIC Open License to authorise compatible publications under their conditions.
Conditions
Apply both licences according to use, retain notices and do not copy reserved material. This conclusion concerns historical OSRIC 2.x, not OSRIC 3's different regime. The consulted portal distributes the original document, although it now describes itself as community-run.
