In the first-edition quickstart, roll a d10 for Capability and another for Profession, multiply each by its own rating and keep the higher. Reserve can improve or reroll relevant results; beliefs, Themes, Twists and Complications shape the story.

Conditions
Credit the author and work, retain notices, link the applicable licence and identify adaptations. Commercial reuse needs separate permission. Artwork has separate credits, including CC BY 2.5 and public-domain claims; inspect each asset rather than assigning the text’s licence to all images.
